On Tuesday in Fayetteville, a snake got into a power substation, according to a post on the city’s public works commission Facebook page. In the Carolinas, trees are the number one cause of power outages, but Duke Energy said snakes and other animals are also a common culprit. Duke Energy sent NBC Charlotte a statement that read, in part, “Snakes are active in the summer so we typically see an increase in outages due to snake-related activity.” Like the temperatures, snake sightings are on the rise. Jensen discovered a 12-foot black snake on his property in Lowell.  A woman sent NBC Charlotte a photo of a black rat snake swallowing a copperhead in Forsyth County. It’s been shared on Facebook more than 18,000 times and has more than 1,400 likes. Two years ago in Morganton, workers found a pair of snakes when they opened up an electric box. The snakes had been electrocuted.  1 Gang 1 Way Switch To prevent that from happening more Duke Energy installed special fencing with a mesh-like material to prevent snakes and other animals from entering some substations. “If the animal actually gets in and causes damage that would damage the equipment we would h...

3PE Anti-corrosion Steel Pipe Has High Quality Anti-corrosion Ability

3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe and 2PE anti-corrosion steel pipe are two classifications of PE anti-corrosion steel pipe. I believe that some friends will ask at this time, why is 3PE anti-corrosion steel pipe more favored by people? Let us analyze it below: In terms of structure, 3pe anti-corrosion steel pipe refers to 3-layer structure polyolefin coating (MAPEC) outer anti-corrosion steel pipe, generally used for electric resistance welded pipe, first layer epoxy powder (FBE>100um), second layer adhesive (AD)170 ~250um, the third layer of polyethylene (PE) 2.5 ~ 3.7mm, the actual operation of the three materials mixed into one, after processing to firmly bond with the steel pipe to form an excellent anti-corrosion layer; and 2PE anti-corrosion (two-layer polyethylene Pipeline two-layer PE anti-corrosion structure, the first layer of adhesive (AD), the second layer of polyethylene (PE), the two materials are integrated. In terms of price performance, the service life of 3pe anti-corrosion steel pipe is 3-5 times longer than other steel pipes, so the price of 3PE anti-corrosion is higher than that of other steel pipes. In recent years, due to the sustainable development of th...

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, car crashes are the leading cause of death

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, car crashes are the leading cause of death in children between 1 and 13 years old. Jamie Reyes is a Child Passenger Safety Technician at Baby’s & Kid’s 1st Furniture in Houston. He trains parents how to use car and booster seats properly. “The way we explain this to parents,” Reyes said, “is there are three collisions that take place during a car crash: there is the vehicle striking another vehicle, your body striking the seatbelts and then your internal organs striking the inside of your body. So the infant car seats are designed to absorb more energy and prevent it from being transferred to that final collision of the internal organs.” Child safety seats can be the difference can between life and death, but the NHTSA says 59 percent of adults aren’t using them properly. Rear facing starts at birth and ends at 3 or 4 years old. Guidelines recommend keeping a child rear facing for as long as their seat allows. Pull the harness over the arms first. Clip the bottom buckle first, followed by the top. Tighten the straps around the hips first getting as much slack out as possible. “If you can lift and pinch on the s...
